Meet The Team
The Ridgeway Barns is a small, family-run business, headed up by Alex and his wife Becky. They are pleased to be supported by Louisa, who is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, and a great team ranging from gardening and housekeeping to our lovely events managers. We are now recruiting! We have a number of vacancies within the business:
Events Manager / Events Coordinator. We are on the hunt for a full-time events manager or events coordinator to join our team from May 2026. Further details and application form can be found HERE. Deadline for applications: Friday 20th March 2026.

Alex
FounderAlex is the third generation of his family to farm the land at Liddington Warren Farm, where he grows arable crops using sustainable farming techniques, alongside a flock of sheep and a DIY livery.
When he’s not busy farming you might find him overseeing the latest development works at the venue, keeping the accounts in order, or pulling pints behind the bar at one of our events.
Favourite drink: A pint of our local Ramsbury Gold
Becky
FounderBecky splits her time between supporting Alex on the farm, her teaching career and raising their young family.
Responsible for the interiors throughout the renovation, Becky continues to enjoy adding more personal touches to the venue. She also supports the garden team with the landscaping and planting. The ultimate host, Becky can often be seen on the day of a wedding helping to serve drinks or see that those little details happen.
Favourite drink: Becky is a bubbly lady, and says you can't go wrong with a glass of Chapel Down sparkling wine.
Louisa
Director of Operations and Senior Events ManagerLouisa has been with us since the early planning stages of the business and heads up the day-to-day running of The Ridgeway Barns, keeping on top of everything from marketing and events to managing the team and ensuring the venue is kept in top condition. She’s often the first person you’ll speak to when you make an enquiry, and will guide you through your wedding planning journey right through to your big day.
Prior to joining the team, Louisa served 13 years in the British Army, honing her planning, organisational and teamwork skills, and was recently described as "possibly the most organised person you have ever met!" When she's not helping you plan your event, you will find Louisa walking the Wiltshire Downs with her beloved cocker spaniel Kopi or running around a hockey pitch in Marlborough.
Favourite cocktail: A zesty mojito!
Jess
Events and Social Media ManagerJess has been an integral member of the team since joining us in June 2023, after graduating from Bournemouth University with a 2:1 in media production.
Jess has been fully apprenticed within the business, getting involved with everything from marketing and socials, to running your bar on event days, and is now a pro delivering events. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Favourite cocktail: It's always got to be a Hugo Spritz!
Rich
Events and Bar ManagerWe are delighted to introduce Rich, who has recently joined the team after 15 years running The Food Gallery in Marlborough. Rich brings with him a wealth of hospitality experience and will often be the chatty face running the bar and latter hours of your event.
Away from work Rich is a keen hockey player, and is now training up the next generation of hockey players, as well as working hard on the Marlborough hockey club committee and playing for the men's first team.

Anya
Events and Bar AssistantAnya has been an integral part of the team since 2024, working her way up from events team member, to assistant bar manager, and now also involved in the coordination of events. You'll find her working hard in the background to get your day off to the best of starts, serving your reception drinks with a smile, or shaking a cocktail behind the bar!
Favourite cocktail: An espresso martini, of course!
Events Team Members
Mandy, Christina, Karen, Anna, Gemma, Holly, Lily, Lucas and Oscar are just a few of our regular event staff who help run the bar and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes on your big day. They will always give you service with a smile, and you may well catch them dancing to your tunes behind the bar!
Jonathan
Head GardenerJonathan has been tending to the grounds since the garden was re-landscaped in 2021. He has a knack for keeping the roses in glorious bloom for over six months of the year, and can often be found bedding new plants.
Callum
The Farm TeamWhether it's driving the combine, herding sheep or conducting maintenance, Callum can normally be found around the farm. He's helped with so many different aspects of The Ridgeway Barns, from erecting the estate fencing and assisting with building work to setting up the bar and stretch tent for events.
