Wedding Memories: Emma and Doug, 16th July 2022

Emma and Doug were one of the original couples to book their wedding at The Ridgeway Barns, while renovations were still underway.

As they had officially tied the knot in 2021 (during that dreaded time that we shall not mention), they were delighted to be finally celebrating their vows amongst all their friends and family. Having walked each other down the aisle, they began with a celebrant led ceremony by Alison from Springwood Ceremonies, including a memorable handfasting celebration.

The gazebo (and, in fact, the entire venue) was colourfully adorned with homemade bunting and vibrant, locally grown florals by Sara at My Flower Patch.

Despite being the hottest day of the year, there were plenty of shady spots to find respite from the beaming sun, under the magnificent beech trees that line the garden. Emma and Doug had also selected a expansive triple peak tipi from Forest Edge Tipi to carry on their celebrations, also adorned with bunting and flowers.

The couple had a delicious sit down meal from The Full Spoon, and a magnificent cake made of cheese!

The lovely couple had their first dance played by the talented band Catch 22 band who provided music throughout the evening for the couple and their guests to danced the night away.
